There is a small square piece of marble cake with
confetti and yellow & black frosting on the counter (it was a Cars cake), opened envelopes with the card-who knows where, left over "Happy Feet" (Sage couldn't decide which
theme he wanted so we just mixed it up) cups, scattered new toys, a few new outfits, a new "pipe show-er", a
definite favorite, and other left over remains of a 5 yr old party
well done. What the Heck!!! What a comotion!!!
Guess what I got them for party favors? What every 5 year old boy likes-a stretchy, sticky lizard! Oh yeah, watch out mom and dad, I instructed them on the finer points of hiding them and planting them in obscure places to scare who-ever. They were thrilled to say the least. "Does everyone have their lizard?" "We don't want to forget anybodys lizard." High point of the evening. That and when we tried to get six 5 year olds to put on their boots and coats. Challenge to say the least. We were on our way to church so we needed to 'get going.' No one cried, fought, had an accident in their drawers, spilled anything, or broke anything significant. Success in my mind.

Very nice! I can hardly believe Sage could be 5. Time goes by so fast. You are a good Mom. Parties with lots of boys are the best. I'll bet the cake was good too!
Joanie
Hunter is still talking about the party! And yes, the lizard was the highlight. I have already promised Brylie we can get her one next time we go to Walmart. (Who knew she would cry over a lizard!)
Kudos to you for taking on the challenge!
Oh to be five again! He is too stinkin' cute! Alicia came home from a party once with a live hampster...just a thought for next years party. I was not a happy mom that day :(
Wow--the picture of all those little boys brought me right back to the good ole days. Those boy parties were fun!
I'm glad it all went well. I'm finding lizards and frogs and snakes all over my house from last week's jungle party--Elizabeth wanted to have a co-ed thing.
That might be my favorite post so far Kim0! Just loved how you described the party.
I'd say, "Wish I was there," but it's not good for Grandma's to lie. :)
Blessed Day of Birth, Sagey!!
