'still tooting my own horn'

Ok, I am getting a little self-conscious about the posting of the pages thing (I don't handle compliments very well, I appreciate them but they make me self conscious). I have these two things to share.

This is my layout of Caden. It is completely from my heart. I love my kids and when I feel it, I feel it deeply and I did with this one.
The writing says, "this boy, his smile, his fantastic brown eyes, his soft wispy hair, his sweet kind heart. He melts my heart like no other. I love this boy. Caden Rain, I am so thankful that you are mine." Sappy I know but this kid had my heart from day one. I use to call him my "Joy" because he was always so happy and he spoke with his eyes in a way I had never seen in a little boy.

The other thing I wanted to share was this quote I found about siblings.
"To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each others hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family grief and joys. We live outside the touch of time." I love it! Family...sometimes it IS the best!
(Jules, this makes me think of you...love you sis and I am sorry about picking on you when we were kids)

The quote that you found about siblings brought tears to my eyes. My sister and I have always been very close even though she's five years younger than I am. The words you chose to describe your son also were very touching.

I know you'd prefer I didn't say this again, but I can't help it: Your pages are Awesome.

i sure would like the opportunity to find out if i'm self concious when someone compliments me...doesn't happen often:-) do you feel sorry for me yet?

i wrote this somewhere else once too, hopefully not here...
"the greatest gift you can give your child is the gift of a sibling" pope john paul II

i completely agree, obviously;-) but it's so true. no one will ever know us like our siblings and no one will ever love like that either.

So true! You know already how I feel about my family. I copied down the quote, I think I'll frame it. I hope your retreat is going well and you're relaxing.

So glad you have your sister to love. I so wish I had a relationship with my brothers :( I thank God my girls have each other. I wonder if they even know what they have in eachother. Your kids are blessed to have you and so am I. Love ya!

Toot away, Sistah! Love hearing your tune!

You make me laugh like none other, Kim0. Goodness, the mom can't even run across a simple kleenex on the carpet without wild hilarious laughter. You'd think in my own home, one could do what they deem best without the Kim0 casting aspirtions!!! hahhahahaha
I'm crackin' up over here!!!!!

I loved the family quote, Kim. My prayer is that my boys stay close throughout their lifetime. Bruce is close with his siblings, and it strengthens him. I am not, and I feel I missed out on something special. Thankfully, I've been fully accepted into the Woolsey clan so I have 4 sisters and 4 brothers (incl. in-laws) to have a special connection with.

Toot away, Mrs. Arnold. Hello, this is Mitch Stout. I'm a friend of Rod and Chad's. Just found your site through mutal blogger. Hope that's okay.

Got to say, you're the crafty, scrapbooking queen. I'm impressed. You could give Rosie a run for her money. You know how she thinks she is the best crafter (is that what you call it) around.

Kim0, My Amy's starting to make cards. You recall she was just married to HughMan in Sept and is a superb teacher. But this first year of marriage, she's making cards which fits like a glove too - very creative. Dat gum, Amy loved puttin' up new bulletin boards in her classroom; what was she thinkin? Anyway I'll get you her blog site where she features her newly created creations.
Goodness, we're all just creatin' fools, aren't we? D Willard calls it "Creative Goodness." It's why we're here.

I love that quote to, it is perfect! Don't worry, I forgive you for the tickle tortures that didn't end until I wet my pants!

Your scrapebooking pages are beautiful! You always were the artist in the family. I can't believe you create those!
