Is that not the cutest face? Remember Parker? This is him at his first birthday eating cake just a few days ago. I just want to kiss those cheeks and I can't get over those gorgeous green eyes like his moms. A few days ago we decided when we will make the Indiana trek to see my family and it is only a week and a half away. I can't wait to see this little guy. Almost everyday I hear all about everything he is doing and listen to him in the background and for the first time I miss a child that isn't mine. I wonder if this is something like what grandparents feel about their grandkids. Maybe. I think that it has been about 3 years since the whole fam has been back there so I suppose it's about time. I just dread the 16+ hour trip with my 'adorable and well behaved' children. It will be worth it.

Indiana? You too?? It takes 16 hours for us to drive as well--but THIS TIME--we decided to fly. We can't all fit in one vehicle anymore anyway!

I have to say that a 16+ hour trip does not sound very glorious but getting to see your family will make it all worth it.

UUGGHH, 16 hours. Here I thought driving a bunch of camp kids to Missouri that one year was bad. I guess it was an 11 hour trip. The nice thing is by the time you are ready to come home, they will be so worn out that the return trip will be peaceful!

You might just be surprised. We took our kids to Florida when they were your kids ages. The trip went way better than we thought it ever would! It was a 21 hour ride. Now we do the 18 hours to Dallas quite often. Hurray, we are flying this time in August!
Hope you have a great time over here in our neck of the woods. You are going to almost be in Michigan territory. Think about me when you get to Indiana. Wish we were close enough to have a gold old cup of coffee.
